We know that completing applications forms can be a daunting task. Some people may need help because they do not feel confident to complete forms, the language used can be confusing, some may not know where to find their records or paperwork, and others may be concerned that going through this process my re-traumatise them.
These are some of the many reasons why people are not applying. You can get help with making your application – for example, from a friend, relative, support group, solicitor or our Navigator service.

We can help you to consider your options and then you can decide whether you wish to make an application today, in the future or you may decide that applying to the scheme is not right for you.
What is A Navigator?
This is a free and confidential service which has been designed to make it easier for people who wish to apply to the scheme. We know that people may not be sure if the scheme is right for them or some may find the process confusing.
We are here to help simplify each step and to help you access the information you need to make a decision about whether to apply. We do not offer legal advice, but we can help you to identify the right people you need to contact who can help you complete your application so you can access the compensation that is owed to you.
How does A Navigator Project?
You will be assigned a named navigator who will work with you to submit your application to the scheme. They are there to give you specific information, provide the best options possible, answer your questions and support you with practical tasks like filling in or checking your form before you submit it. They can also guide you through the process of accessing your records, applying for documentation, and helping you identify other services that may assist you with your claim.
